What is Qantas Airlines Cancellation policy?

  • Economy class tickets with Red e-Deal are not eligible for the cancellation.
  • Economy class tickets with Flex fare type are eligible to make cancellation at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure time and the cancellation fee is A$99 for these passengers.
  • Premium Economy passengers with Saver fare type are eligible to cancel their tickets at least 60 minutes before scheduled departure time, and A$99 is the cancellation fee. However, cancellation after no show is not allowed for these passengers.
  • Premium Economy passengers with Flex fare type are eligible to cancel their tickets at least 60 minutes before scheduled departure time. However, cancellation after no show is not allowed for these passengers.
  • Business Class passengers with Flex fare type are eligible to cancel their tickets without paying anything to the airline authority as the cancellation fee.
  • The airline will re-book your ticket if the delay occurs within 72 hours of the scheduled flight departure time. You don’t need to pay anything as the change fee under this condition.

What is the refund policy?

  • If you have booked your ticket through the official website, you need to make a request for Flight credit or refund via the Manage Booking section.
  • You will receive the refund as the original mode of payment after you raised your request.
  • If you cancel your flight beyond the 24-hour window, you are not eligible to get any suitable alternative arrangement.
  • If the flight is delayed to the extent of time, you have to cancel your ticket.
  • If the airline makes significant changes to the flight schedule time, they are not committed to give you an alternative flight as per to your convenience.
  • If the airline causes you to miss a connecting Qantas flight on which your reservation is confirmed.

What is the Flight compensation Policy?

As per EC 261 policy, the flights departing from any EU airport are liable to give compensation to the passengers.
